If you are a fan of photography, scuba diving, marine life or even the BBC's Blue Planet series, you should find this book a great read. Along with superb underwater photography are fascinating written accounts. It is quite refreshing to read about and see photos of British sealife, rather than the 'run of the mill' tropical underwaters. I definately recommend this book as both a reference guideto diving in the UK and a pleasurable read in general.

I got this book as a gift for my teenage nephew who is about to take the plunge into diving in Scottish Waters. I thought this would give him a bit of an insight into what it might look like when he heads underwater.

He loves the book, especially the fantastic photos and information about the marine life in each of the areas that Alan James focused on. He has been amazed to discover what a rich and diverse life there is in the Seas around Britain.

Having looked through the book first, I was also impressed and am thinking of getting a copy for myself. I just wish it had more than two Scottish dive sites in it and hope that Alan James maybe covers some more of the wonderful diving off Scotland in a future book.
