I will update this and do a full review of this monitor when I have time, but for now I just wanted to warn people that the monitor Amazon sent me was a French version and didn't come with a standard UK power cable.

Update*

The monitor is working perfectly and I've had no problems with dead pixels or backlight bleeding. The monitor is quite bright out of the box so you might need to turn that down a notch.

To get the most accurate colour reproduction you will need to fiddle around with the RGB and other settings. So far I have found RGB 70/70/70 in standard mode on 5 gamma to be the most accurate.

I'am using 120hz through a Startech mini displayport to displayport cable which I purchased from Amazon for a mere £6 and is working flawlessly.

The vesa stand is really great as well and really adds value for money at £260. You can tilt it up and down, put it into portrait mode and change the height.

All in all this monitor really is a bargain if you can get the right price. It is by far the most colour accurate TN panel I've ever seen or used. And also the lowest input lag. I've noticed no ghosting or trailing.

I'm sorry I cannot comment on the 3D performance of this monitor as I have little to no interest in 3D and only bought it for the 120hz smoothness for gaming.

I bought this monitor for the 120 Hz and low input lag so wasn't expecting the picture to be as good as an IPS monitor but I was very surprised.
Out of the box the image is retina searingly bright, After spending a bit of time calibrating it looks very good indeed and is almost on a par with my IPS.
I used an ICC profile from TFTCentral . co. uk and used their settings as a guide to get a set up that looked pretty amazing.

The little remote is great for navigating the menus. I use the three quick settings buttons for daylight and low light viewing settings and the third for FPS gaming using the black equalizer function.
The stand is great and allows for great height, tilt and rotate positions.

During gaming the 120 Hz and very low input lag make games seem a lot more fluid. You don't notice the improvement straight away but I went back to my 60 Hz monitor after about a month just see the difference and it was an awful experience. After 120 Hz 60 Hz seems so laggy and gameplay seems less fluid and mouse movements seem to take an age. I will never go back to 60 Hz for gaming.

I bought this monitor 3 months ago and am very happy with the purchase and do not regret paying a premium for a dedicated gaming monitor.

First monitor that came had 3 dead pixels, (one bang in the lower center, very visible).

Immediately re-packaged it and asked Amazon for a return, they agreed straightaway and sent me another one out, first class (I originally picked free super saver) to be delivered the next day, at no charge to me! Thankyou Amazon!

This one doesn't have any dead pixels, and works fine. Fantastic monitor! Very bright (turned it down a lot) but good colour, huge screen, flexible stand, and nifty menus / configuration sets.

I also live in the U.K and got a U.K power cable both times, so seems that issue is sorted.

Hi All, Monitor arrived yesterday at work and spent a couple of hours on it last night and WOW ! I love it. the stand is built much like my old Dell's 2407, very sturdy and maneuverable. the touch buttons on the side are nice to operate but easier using the scroll wheel on the s-switch.

Out of the box the brightness was set to 100! which i dialed down to 17. Colors look acceptable to me but I soon used the Eye-1 calibrator to get a color profile created and looks good so far but not done any photoshop. To get the calibrated at 120cd/m the brightness went to 15 and the contrast to 56. This may seem low but its the brightest i can handle.

In 2d i played a bit of battlefield 3 and it runs smooth and quick but really need a higher fps to test the response of it but seems as quick as the samsung 2233rz.

in 3D WOW!!! Lightboost is amazing! I mean soo much better as the glasses dim only very slightly and the colors and image on the screen is still vivid and bright as without the glasses and it makes the 3d experience sooo much better. Played skyrim and was able to up the separation to 50% with no problems and upto 75% before my head started to feel it. I wanted to take a screen shot of a bandit hiding behind his shield in front of me as it looked sooo good. no joke it actually looked like he was stood inside my screen. i've left lightboost on 100 as its bright but not too bright.

There is next to no crosstalk apart from when there is high contrast light against dark so this keeps the 3D crystal clear. When i take my glasses off it surprising how far the images are when no crosstalk is visible.

I do not like 16:9 for desktop use but movies look alot better and avatar in 3d will be watched again as it looks so much better.

It's is amazing in every aspect. The look, the feel, the the various ways you can tweet the screen on the side of the monitor or with the controller which comes with it, and can be attached to the stand with the in-built magnets. Lots of people complain about the colours but I love them. Don't like the colour ratio; change them. Don't be a moron and act as if you can't.

The colours right up against the screen are what impresses me, such precision. If there is a dark green and then a light green, it won't be two different coloured pixels but it would fade them to the colour to mix them all in as one.

The screen is crystal clear and you will have no problem picking out other players on games like Battlefield 4. Expensive, but worth it. MUST BUY.
