5.0 out of 5 stars Just the job!!!!! 24 Feb 2012

Ordered this monitor for the price and look, Only had it up and running for a few hours, but all i can say is WOW, The picture is bang on , a doddle to set up(one think to note, if like me you are just going to use HDMI and do away with the DVI connection, When you first plug the monitor in use the DVI cable connection as well as the HDMI one, because you wont see any picture at all unless using DVI, then just go into the menu and switch input device to HDMI, then you can unplug the DVI cable and chuck it lol), Hope this helps others out , The colours are beautiful and bright , resolution at 1080p is much better than my old monitor, and for under 200 i think i have myself a real bargain, Also putting this up from the box was a doddle took less than 2 mins, and its pretty light for a 27inch screen, but very stable on its stand, no rocking at all. All in all i am very happy with this monitor, You could pay a hell of a lot more for pricier brands, but DONT, this is perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous monitor 7 Jun 2012
Verified Purchase
Upgraded from a 19" flat screen. At first i was a bit over whelmed by the size and the brightness but a few tweaks on the easy to use menu and very happy.
No dead pixels or any negative points. I have not tried the built in speakers so cannot comment. Games, internet and movies ( been hot swapping hdmi cables with the blueray player ) all look incredible, clear, bright and well defined colours
If you are on a tight budget and want max real estate for your money then get this monitor, you will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars simply brilliant 7 May 2012

I bought this monitor as an upgrade to my 6 years old 19inch samsung LCD monitor, though the latter still works perfectly.
With a price tag of 185 pounds this is a true offer indeed. Though initially I am not sure about the brand BENQ, I actually took a small "risk" trying to buy this, which resulted positively.

Pros:
amazing price for 27inch LED monitor under 200 pounds;
it's much brighter than my previous monitor, so I have to adjust it from 100 to 35
light weighted, and save energy too.
16:9 wide screen
easy setup
pivotable
absolutely no "negetive" visual effect for day to day applications, in fact for ALL applications I used :-)

Cons:
on screen display menu items works fine, but not as easy as my old sumsang
cannot rotate/pan
image from my computer to HDMI input is smaller than full screen, even if I use overscan. ( my computer HDMI output works fine with full screen with my TV, and another monitor, too, but not this one ), eventually I have to either use DSub or DVI.
it comes with an integrated speaker, a bit redundant, but may be useful if you don't already have a set of speakers.
the edge is not as slim as some high end ones, probably because of the speaker ??

Summary:
This is a superb monitor with incredile price, though I haven't got chance to compare that with similar range monitors which priced way more than this one, I know human eyes could hardly tell any pixel light change under 8ms ( this monitor is b2w 5ms, and g2g is 2ms) , and I do not use it for intensive 3D games so I am very happy with this product. Definitely recommend this. and leave those "high end" monitors which are a few times more expensive to tiny number of users with special needs - if their eyes could tell the difference ;-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value & quality 16 Sep 2012

After using this monitor for several months here are my thoughts:

Overall, this is an excellent monitor. Quality of image is very good, blacks are reasonable and price is great.

Originally, i purchased the BenQ EW2730V, because it's meant to have a better quality panel, but it suffered from noticeable ghosting when browsing the internet and when watching movies. Shame, as it was a very nice monitor and i really wanted it, but the ghosting was just far too much.

Then i purchased the ASUS VE278Q, which had good colors, and good presets, but it made a very annoying buzzing/humming noise which, in my quiet room, was very off-putting.

So i got the BenQ GL2750 as my last hope of getting a 27 inch monitor i would be happy with. Thankfully, this turned out to be a very good monitor. It's completely silent, looks good and is a great size. There are a few things i don't like about it, however:

1) It takes about 6 secs for the monitor to switch on. So if you have your monitor set to switch off after computer being idle, it takes a while for the monitor to switch back on again. This is annoying.

2) The presets are garbage. Unlike the Asus which had excellent presets, the only two useful presets on the benq are standard and sRGB. I actually had it on sRGB for ages and the blacks during movies were very light, it wasn't until it switched it back to standard that the black level improved. The rest of the presets are not useful at all.

3) Other features such as senseye are worthless, don't even know what it does, and AMA, which supposedly gives you the 2ms response time, produces reverse ghosting when you move your mouse cursor. So that is off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good PC monitor 20 Feb 2012
By Sejal
I needed a big screen for my work and this was a good value 27" LED monitor. I already have the BenQ G2222HDL (which has lots of reviews) next to this on my desk and I was pleased with that monitor and this is just a larger version of it. It did come with a non uk plug, but easy to replace from my old monitor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for price, but a couple of set back.
First of all, that screen is good, especially at that price point.
I don't know much about colors and that kind of details, so I won't even bother with that. Read more
