BenQ offers you with the most true-to-life images with its world-leading 16:9 LCD monitor, satisfying your every visual sensation with the truest images and putting you in the lead in the digital world. When a traditional 16:10 LCD monitor handles 16:9 signals in generating Full HD image, there are usually two ways to get it done. The first way would be to stretch the image which results in picture distortions. Another way would be to cover up the surplus image using horizontal black bars. Either way - stretching the image by 10% or covering 10% of the image - would cause a seriously impact to quality of your visual entertainment.
Full HD (1920X1080) resolution offers you crystal clear images, allowing you to spot even the finest details. With images so real, it makes DVDs and video games much more exciting. It's like you're right there inside the scene. As the platform for future mainstream specifications, Full HD resolution fits perfectly with the latest video outputs such as Blu-ray DVD, Xbox 360 and PS3. Experience the high quality, dynamic audiovisual entertainment way ahead of its time in every aspect of your life - work or play.
AMA (Advanced Motion Accelerator) provides the ultimate visual entertainment. AMA gives you true-to-life images with enhanced picture quality and reduced visual noise with only 2ms GTG (Grey to Grey) response time so there's no delayed response to image deliverance. BenQ's exclusive Senseye+Photo Image Technology gives you the best viewing quality via five pre-set modes fitting to your everyday needs. Standard Mode for reading your favourite novels, Movie Mode for hosting a movie night, Dynamic Mode for viewing images in well-lit environments, Photo Mode for sharing photos from your most recent trip, sRGB Mode for obtaining consistent, true-to-film images in all sRGB-compliant devices.

Excellent for a cheap monitor,

This review is from: BenQ G2220HD 21.5 Inch Wide LCD Monitor (16:9 Full-HD 1080P,5ms, 10,000:1,DVI) - Glossy Black (Personal Computers)
Very nice monitor with good crisp vivid colour rendition - which is what impressed me the most, something good when editing photos. Some photos seem to pop out and good sense of 3D appearance to them. Seems bright and crisp for a light room allowing comfortable viewing. I have seem more expensive models with poorer colours. No HDMI socket, but that is found in more expensive E model not this G one. Despite some reviews mine came with UK plug, guess it depends which seller you use. No built in speakers, but this is perhaps why you get a monitor with excellent image quality for this price. I would recommend this monitor if you are looking for a very good image 1080p widescreen monitor with a good price.

Hi,First things first----this is an excellent monitor. Very sharp picture albeit set way too bright. But I have two niggles. 1] My screen only came with a continental 2 pin mains plug which formed an integral part of the cable. This was sorted by my snips and a small screwdriver, together with a 3pin plug from my spares box. 2] The instruction sheet only told me not to obstruct the rear vents of the screen OR to pour water in them!!. The rest of the instructions were on a CD, which needed an operating system of sorts to download it-----not too clever if you are setting up a new or a new-build machine. As I said, these are niggles and do not detract from the the monitor which is worth everyone of it's 4 stars PS The delivery was within 48 hours Excellent!

I can't stand a poor monitor. Whether it's blurry or unevenly lit, it really irks me. I have no such problem with this monitor! Backlight is nice and even, viewing angle seems pretty good and display is crisp, clear and easy on the eyes straight out of the box. Blacks are very black and whites are very white. I use it with a PC through the DVI input and an XBox 360 through the VGA input and it's very decent at both.Difficult to know what else to say really. Lack of HDMI input is I suppose an issue for some people, but given the price of the monitor you can't expect this quality with a HDMI input as well. No speakers is a plus for me, because it means the monitor casing is as compact as it could possibly be. If you have any reservations about the pixel size on 22" 1080p monitor I shouldn't worry. I've found the native 1980 x 1080 resolution at 22" screen size is very readable. If DVI and VGA are enough for you, I couldn't recommend this monitor more. Incredible value.
