I wish I could say that my star rating is appropriate.
I can't. Call me old fashioned. Please do, I shall take it as a compliment. I think Shoes should last. Heck I think everything should.
If I can't leave it in my Last Will and Testament to the next generation its not going to be 'good enough' ( of course shoes may require fresh soles via the cobblers, but that's the way things should be )
Although reality punctures this bubble, and like everyone else I mend and make do with its good enough for now, or otherwise it'll do.
So I can't pretend in the brief time I have spent inside Mr Ben Sherman's shoes to comment on their longevity, indeed if they are fit for purpose in as much they last the handful of years which I'd consider reasonable.
What I can tell you is that they are nice and shiny, the zip operates easily, and perhaps most importantly they slip around my UK size 9's comfortably, which is the crux of the matter. Buying shoes on line means guessing and hoping that the size advertised is a fair approximation of your experience - and for me that means in atypical male fashion I can pick up a UK size 9 confident that it will fit.
That doesn't always happen thanks to EU/USA sizing nonsense. In this case it did. Which on reflection is the best certain thing I can say.
Delivery was Amazon usual, which is to say dependable and quick.
