I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I was expecting a standard 'Western', what I got was a lot more interesting.
This book has a completely different setting to the 'normal' Western. I don't think I've ever read a Western set in a vineyard before!! The characters are believable, and the reader can see that the author has researched wine growing techniques, but the research doesn't appear too obvious. It was an easy read, and I don't mean that in a derogatory way, for a book to read as smoothly as this, means that a lot of work has gone into making it smooth.
There are the usual ingredients for any Western, bad guys, shoot outs, young ladies in distress. But there are also added ingredients which make it a gripping read, and I won't spoil it for you!
Well done Sally! I'll be looking for more of yours!
