The first thing I have to praise is Amazon itself. The service was perfect as always. It arrived less than 24 hours after I ordered it.

Now onto the remote itself. It's actually a lot bigger than the picture suggests, a good guide would be about 3/4 of the size of a normal adult hand. This is a good thing as the buttons are big and easy to use.
It comes with a very sturdy strap that will go around any arm or wrist and an extension part in case you want to wrap it around anything bigger.
A nice touch is that it also comes with a small karabiner that means you can clip it anywhere you like.
The strap and the remote are not a single unit, the remote attaches to the strap by heavy duty Velcro so you can take it off and stick it to other Velcro things. The battery compartment also has a light that shows when a successful transmission has been made, so you know its working.

The only change I would make to the remote is that it is very bendy as it is mostly just fabric. A tougher none or less flexible back to it would have been a bonus as it would make the button presses easier.

The receiver is a bit on the big side for my taste and the length of cable looks a bit redundant, making the Ipod a bit on the big side in your pocket, but since you leave it there all day it's no major issue.

Belkin only say that it works with most Ipods. The Itouch is not mentioned, however, I can confirm that it WILL work with a Gen 1 Itouch.
I can't say about the Gen 2 though.

Over all, a very well designed and made bit of kit. Expensive compared to other remotes out there but if you snowboard or mountain bike like me than I would suggest going the extra mile for this.
I've had others not made for outdoor or cold weather use and they don't last.

I purchased this product for the sole purpose of ipod control whilst snowboarding, THIS DOES NOT WORK IN THE COLD. I cannot stress how frustrating this is, especially when the products marketing pictures clearly show someone in the snow using the product. If you wish to use this in the comfort of your own home then you will be happy however if you intend on using it in colder conditions then look elsewhere.

Bought this as I like to listen to music whilst skiing. Someone mentioned that it was affected by the cold. I was skiing yesterday and as far as I was concerned it worked fine. Works with gloves too which is a real bonus. For the money its a good buy. For some reason the 3v battery which powers the main controller goes flat very quickly so if your on a trip and plan on using it alot buy a few of batterys to keep you going. Also works fine with my iphone 3g. Well done Belkin!

The remote and it's associated unit is an intelligent piece of design. I used it upon my daily bike commute as I prefer to lower the volume or turn off my iPod at certain points in my journey so that I may concentrate on the traffic around me. To do so without a remote would mean stopping at the side of the road, fishing said iPod from my pocket and making the required changes from the Pod's input wheel.

The Belkin is easy to attach to your wrist and and both simple and safe to use but as has been mentioned before in other reviews here, it ceases to work entirely in cold weather. This has made it all but useless during the UK's winter months and as a result, I was forced to buy a second remote made by another manufacturer.

A seriously flawed bit of kit which is sadly now gathering dust in the back of my wardrobe.
