This review is from: Belkin ADSL Modem with Built-in 125g Wireless Router (Electronics)
Very simple to setup (takes about two minutes to get an unsecured wireless network going!), although i did manage to cock it up by enabling MAC address filtering and not adding the MAC address of my PC to the "safe" list first (not reading the instructions and trying to rush was the problem, not the unit!)! Easily solved though as the unit can be reset to factory defaults via a button at the back (hold it in for 5 secs).Ive also set up 128 bit WEP encryption which was a doddle and now doesn't enable just anyone to get on my wireless network. All in all a great product and thoroughly recommended!

I've run this router for about a year now without any real issues. It's easy to setup for ADSL and for port forwarding, has a good wireless range. My Xbox and Xbox360 + 3 wireless and one cabled PC's direct all connect seamlessly with this router and each other. Unlike the Netgear WGR614 + DM602 I had before, this device runs very cool and does not crash. It's always on, the only time I turn it off is when going on holiday! Again unlike my previous Netgear combo I can reliably VPN to work - So no problems there! The only downsides are that it has less functionality in comparison to Netgear with regards to specific PC monitoring and logging. With Netgear you can prevent specific devices from accessing the net on a scheduled basis. With this Belkin you cannot - other than preventing them access via Mac address filtering - which of course requires you to be at a computer to enforce. Another minor quibble is that the connection logs and security logs do not always accurately reflect the current system state and are quite slow to refresh. However, in daily use it's basically a fit and forget item. (If a little ugly) I have no experiance of Belkin's support so I cannot comment on that, other than the product is so simple you shouldn't really need it, unless of-course the item's faulty! Highly Recommended

I bought a Belkin router about a year ago. It worked but became increasingly flaky. It packed up two weeks ago. Today I received a new one from Belkin - a better model. It took no time at all to set up and works fine. I think my experience fighting the old one taught me a lot about routers. It would be tricky knowing nothing but once it's up and running all is fine. I think this model is perfectly ok and I'm confident it'll work for years. I've always found the Belkin helpline pretty good.
