My original review said this:
very responsive - feels very solid. Only minor niggle is the length of the cord really assumes you have usb port(s) on the same side of the laptop as you intend using the mouse. It does reach to the other side but it can be a little tight in some situations. My work laptop only has one usb port on the 'wrong' side, and it can be a little limiting, but its a minor niggle, and the alternative tends to be a cable that's too long and flops around everywhere. (so you know, the cable is 71cm at full extension from laptop port to mouse). The mouse itself is very responsive and accurate -a joy to use.
That was true at the time. However, 4 months on the connection of the cable into the mouse seems to have come loose, which makes the mouse unusable. As an ex-engineer I can't believe someone designed a mouse with a retractable cable where they didn't pay more attention to the main stress point. I haven't opened the mouse in case I void the warranty but I've contacted Belkin and I'm waiting to see if they will replace it.
