OK-ish 16 Oct 2010
It is a 7 port hub, which is exactly what it says it is but what it doesn't say is that the power cable is about 2 feet long. This doesn't really reach anywhere as far as it needs to, unless your PC is actually sat on your desk right next to your plug. The USB cable is a perfect length, but I wanted this to sit next to my monitor so I can easily plug in my UBS Pen Drives and my camera cable. It does work without the power supply but it doesn't run all my USB accessories as it not plugged into the mains. The only reason I'm not sending it back is that it isn't worth the effort and like I said it runs without a power supply, so most of my stuff will work. I think if I get another I will actually go to a shop and make sure I see how long the power cable is. Would be perfect if it had a longer power supply lead.

Got this as a replacement for my old 7 porter which was down to 3 working ones! Its smaller than a packet of cigarettes, but quite stylish.
Previous reviews have mentioned the power cable being too short and with an American power adapter. This was not the case with the unit supplied to me. The adapter was a standard 3pin UK type and the cable was more than adequate at 5.5 feet. There may be a clue in the model number (UK).
The only slight gripe is that it does not have any indicator leds which I found useful in my last hub hence only 4 stars.
Overall its fast and looks good. An excellent hub which I would highly recommend.

Mini Hub 11 Oct 2011
I purchased this item in order to extend the cramped ports that come on the Dell Inspirons. The problem was triggered by my wife cleaning around and ripping out the plugs for the headset which knackered the plugs and the sockets. Eventually I decided to go the USB route and bought a USB audio outlet (chinese) that was worse than useless but which the vendor said was ok.
Amazon shipped it out without instructions so when I plugged it in it gave error messages. Eventually e-mailed Belkin help as Amazon disclaim anything technical.
They were very helpful and advised that you put and fire up the miniport before the computer. Since then it has been fine.

Couldn't ask for anything more.
The USB hub arrived promptly. It's neat, discrete and has a power cord that is more than adequately long enough, with a UK plug. Read more

USB 2.0? Hmmmm
I purchased this not so long ago, it works fine with devices that don't use up too much power, but is HIGHLY temperamental when plugging in a USB external hard drive. Read more

Using the 7 port adaptor has saved a lot of messing about plugging and unplugging items from my iMac which has it's 4 usb ports on the back

Just Awesome :)
Excellent. I love it. Simply works. Simply stable.

Speed is kind of divided though so don't expect to hook up 7 harddrives. :P
