The Network PCI Card is compliant with Ethernet 802.3 and 802.3u standards. Easy to install, the card plugs into any available PCI expansion slot and lets you connect your PC to a cable or DSL modem, as well as share files and peripherals with computers that are connected to the network. I bought this for my Dell Dimension 4440 PC (yes its quite old) which uses Windows XP. I wanted to connect it to my new modem/router and am not experienced in opening up computers. I found the whole expereince a delight. It was very easy and the network card worked immediately and without any problems whatsoever. With all thse things, it only takes one link in the chain to be faulty and nothing works, but in my case everything worked very smoothly and I'm very pleased with this item. The intrsuctions were clear and it all took about 30mins from start to finish.
