Got one of these to tidy up all the wiring behind my TV. Quite big but does allow all the cables to be tidied away by pulling the spare length inside the box. Being white it fairly well disappears behind the TV stand. Clever positioning of sockets allows for adapters that hang below or stick out above the plug. Knocked one star off because I was expecting more cable storage inside and it was a real squeeze to get it all in. Not sure it would have been possible to enclose the cables with all 8 plugs or more than 4 fatter power cables in use. That said - it works very well for me and does the job perfectly. ( Can't assess the surge protection bit since I don't know if I've ever had one. )

So I bought this power surge device to control the mess behind my main lounge TV. I have a satellite box, a home cinema system, a Wii, a cordless phone and the TV itself happily plugged in and working just fine.
It's difficult to say how good it is at surge protection as I don't believe we've suffered one - maybe we have and this stopped it from killing our devices? Who knows?
Aside from the surge protection, if nothing else, I have managed to put all my electrical devices through one simple and clean power socket rather the mass of plugs and extensions that I had before. For that alone I think this is worth 5 stars.

I've got three of these now, in spots where I have a lot of electrical gear plugged in it's great for hiding all the plugs and organising the excess of power leads.
Thankfully I've not had to test the surge protection on any of them yet, but Belkin are a reliable brand so have no qualms about that.
It's a neutral colour which is fine as it matches with our colour schemes so is pretty much invisible when put on the wall or skirting board.
Not much more to add really. Each unit will take 8 plugs, and what's nice is that 4 are right way up and 4 are upside down, because you always get devices with the power block that gets in the way because the pins aren't the way around oyu want them to be. Very well thought out.
