Don't let the name throw you; Belkin's Wireless G Gaming Adapter is a sound and reliable bridge, by all means this isn't just for your gaming consoles.

Assuming most users will have some degree of security on their networks initially the bridge will need configuring with your network settings; this can be done with the supplied software disc or, in my opinion, much more easily using the bridge's internal interface (initially accessed at "192.168.2.225"). Either way - to configure it you will need to use your computer.

Connect up the bridge to an Ethernet (LAN) port on your computer ensuring that either you or the DHCP sets the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) of the connection to a suitable address subnet to access the bridge - the initial IP of the F5D7330 is '192.168.2.225' (so the IP address of the connection should be set as '192.168.2.xx' where "xx" is any number between 1 and 255 (with the exception of 225), subnet mask as 255.255.255.0 and the gateway as 192.168.2.225). Then with either the software disc supplied or the internal interface set the appropriate network settings. Don't forget if your using MAC filtering to allow the MAC of the bridge (found on the back under "WLAN/LAN MAC Address") plus any of the devices you connect to it to associate with your router. Use the MAC address of the device connected to the bridge (NOT the bridge MAC) if you are setting static IP rules.

Belkin has some detailed support material that can be accessed from their US support site which can be useful if your having some problems (search for 'F5D7330'). When all of the configuring is done the Wireless G Gaming Adapter saves these settings internally to connect to the network in the future when required.

Truly a quality product from Belkin.

I was looking for a way to connect my new TV to my wireless network at home. I already have a wireless router upstairs, and needed a way to connect up my TV. As all my TV had on the back was an Ethernet port, I didn't fancy running an ethernet cable through the house. I also didn't want to spend a fortune buying a second full-blown wireless router.

This device solves that problem. You connect the Ethernet cable from the TV (or X-box, PS3, blue-ray player... anything with an Ethernet port) to the back of the device. It then connects this to your wireless network.

The setup is fairly simple. You first need to connect the device directly to your PC, but this is only so you can set up any encryption keys you are using. Once you've done that, you don't need to put it anywhere near a PC again.

You can power it either with the mains adaptor, or using the power from two USB slots, (cable provided). I use the mains adaptor, as this is easier for me, but others may find the USB option more appealing.

I was worried that this product would make my XBox Live connection slow and lag, but it works fine with a 54Mbps router. There are a few moments occasionally (about once every hour) when the game lags behind a bit, but its nothing too disruptive, and it depends on how good your router is.

People have been saying you have to download extra firmware if you want WPA or WPA 2 support for your network, but it seems this problem has been fixed, as all I had to do was load the CD and follow a few steps on the PC, plug it into the XBox and I was off. I didnt need to configure the router on the XBox dashboard, it was all done on the PC.

The adapter can be powered by either two USB ports (the ones in the XBox work fine) or a power adapter. It also fits in with the colour scheme of the XBox 360, so it is not much of an eyesore.

All in all, a great product, just as good if not better than the official XBox 360 adapter at a lower price.

After research I decided to purchase the Belkin Wireless Gaming Adaptor for my Xbox 360, and I am not disappointed. This product works great with the Xbox 360 and is the best alternative to buying the £60 official adaptor from Microsoft, epically at only £15!. It was quite easy to set up, the only problem some people may have is that the software supplied that initially sets up the adaptor for use with the xbox 360 does not work with Vista. Fortunately I have a netbook with XP on so I just used that instead and was up and running in 5 minutes. All you have to do is plug the adaptor into a PC run the software and follow the instructions, choose your home network from the list, then connect the adaptor to the xbox 360 and your done! This is a great product at a great price, and the shipping was fast to! Great Service.

I have had this router for a few days now and I honestly can't fault it. I purchased this for my XBOX 360 and was initially unsure if I had made the right choice as many of the reviews I read were not favourable. However once I had set it up all my fears disappeared as I was amazed at how easy it was to set up. Literally 5mins after unpacking it was ready to go. I was already using a secured dlink wireless router with my PC, laptop and psp and the Belkin router works fine with it. I did have to use the installation CD it came with but this was very, very easy to do; if I didn't have a password protected connection then it was simply a matter of pressing the button on the back of the router and connection was instant!
I have been on XBOX live for the last 12 or so hours playing Halo 3 and I have experienced no problems whatsoever. This is truly a good piece of kit and at £34.99 (the price I paid) it is well worth the money compared to the overpriced offical XBOX 360 version. Also as an added bonus it's the same colour as the XBOX 360 which is great, they were made for each other!

Overall this is a great product which I would highly recommend!!
