4.0 out of 5 stars One Of The Best Singles Released This Summer 20 Aug 2005
By Jilly
Format:Audio CD
I have to disagree with the reviewer from Jersey,to me this is one of the best singles released yet this summer ,and highlights how diverse a songwriter Mark Owen is.It's a real feelgood sound, and nothing to do with 70's Glam Rock to my mind.
As regards him not being able to sing, there are some singers voices that I don't enjoy listening to,but thats more a matter of personal taste.I don't think he would have had the success he did with Four Minute Warning if he couldn't sing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Glam Rock??????? 20 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
First of all I completely disagree with the first review on here namely because if that person were really a 'music fan' then they would know that this song sounds absolutely nothing like 70's glam rock and neither does it attempt to!
Believe in the Boogie is fantastic - a catchy pure pop tune with fun lyrics in which Mark manages to see the funny side of the fall from public favour he has experienced in recent years, 'Could have had it all... From the Albert Hall to the Uni ball...How the mighty fall'
I defy you to get through the song without singing along to the 'Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh' bits and without wanting to listen to it all again as soon as it's over.
Listen to this song with an open-mind and think of Mark as the talented songwriter and singer that he is rather than a member of a long defunct boyband. You'll love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars love it ! 22 Aug 2005
Format:Audio CD
one indication to beauty & quality of creative work is that even those who lack understanding & appreciation will find the time & motivation to comment on it - pl refer the previous review!
as for "he can't sing": there have been armies of critics attesting e.g. to Bob Dylan he can't sing. & i'm happy he can't in the way he'd probably have to i.o. to please the respective people.
i love this song & i find it unique with nothing really to compare it to. however, something tells me if you like the brilliant vocals & guitar arrangements on The Jam's "All Mod Cons" - you'll Believe In The Boogie. bg

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh! 24 Aug 2005
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
I saw and heard this on ITV's "This Morning" last week and knew immediately I had to get my hands on it! And I am so glad I did. Not only one of the sunniest, catchiest songs around at the moment but a fantastic acoustic version of last year's most underrated single, "Makin' Out" on the CD as well. A bargain! I'm not one for buying singles as a rule, but this should be in everyone's collection.
