With Belfast Confetti, his third album, Ricky Warwick has progressed as a songwriter into new territory. This release blends the more introspective moments of "Tattoos and Alibis" and the more rock 'n' roll swagger of "Love Many, Trust Few". The songwriting is first rate, ranging from upbeat (Can't wait for tomorrow) to dark (the title track) and some great story telling (born fightin'). This is tough folk for the masses. If you like singer/songwriters with grit and soul, then you will love this. Make no mistake, this is NOT Jack Johnson. Warwick is all tattoos and rocker swagger, but with the songwriting chops to back up the image. Sound good to you? Then go and buy it!

A very good album from the Belfast born/The Almighty frontman. Have been fortunate to see Ricky play live over the years and the album has this type of feel on it. The CD itself is very laid back even more so than his previous 2 solo outings. I really do like this album all songs are well crafted and vocal wise Ricky is in fine form. If you like acoustic driven albums you will really appreciate this. Recommended
