Ok the sound and picture quality aren't great on the first disc but no worse than other copies of these films I own,we have to appreciate when these were made and the equipment used. It would be better if the logo wasn't there but isn't so obvious in the later films,as a Bela Lugosi fan I am grateful for the material and have learnt to accept that picture and sound quality of his films are not up to the high standards we expect these days. I have purchased far worse quality box sets of his work in the past. The holders for the five discs is better than I have seen in some box sets and I love the information leaflet which comes with it telling you what's on each disc and dates they were made. I do appreciate the other reviews and was mindful of them when I bought this ,maybe this is why I was pleasantly suprised

I bought the same copy and looked forward to a good old yarn but gave up watching it firstly because the film looked dreadful, worse than most ive seen in public domain and secondly the sound was terrible. It is a pity really as lugosi looked pretty good in it and i would be tempted if i saw it in another copy/prodution by another company with decent feedback as to its condition.I do love the old movies and especially lugosi but was left disappointed purely by the advertised copy.
