Expect regular blockages of the waste pipe. Why? Although the three layer filter system looks impressive (and the rest of the machine is impressive) if you examine the base of the filter system you will see a hole. That hole allows particles to pass straight in to the waste pipe, UNFILTERED. What does that mean? Particles become lodged in the non-return value at the end of the waste pipe (usually connected under the kitchen sink). Eventually the build up of particles blocks the non-return valve. The machine then stops working. If you are prepared to disconnect, clean and re-connect the valve every few months this product is fine. But if you expect trouble-free operation, choose another product. Having investigated the problem, it seems that the company knows about the issue, and, it appears, has decided to live with the cost of the call-outs rather than re-design and re-tool the production plant to solve it. Would I buy another one, now that I know this? No. Is the problem bad enough to ditch the product? No.
