Being Well Even When You are Sick - a must read 18 Dec. 2012
By Patricia Levitin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Elana Rosenbaum's latest book, "Being Well Even When You Are Sick" is a must read for anyone who has faced a live changing illness or knows someone who has. She helps you understand the process that someone goes through and how to cope with it. She is generous in her sharing of her own personal story of being a cancer survivor as well as those of her patients. I learned so much about the art of meditation (it is OK if your mind wanders!), breathing exercises and what it means to live with a life threatening disease without letting it define you. There are tapes of meditation exercises and the book is available in paper as well as online. Elana Rosenbaum also teaches workshops and retreats - she sounds like she would be the most gifted, caring and generous teacher. I read this book as if I were savoring a wonderful cup of special tea or a gourmet piece of chocolate. Each page is a gift from Elana to the reader. Thank you for a wonderful journey.

For anyone suffering from a chronic or terminal illness, this book will be a great help to both you and your family and friends. Stories that you can relate to, easy meditation to ease your heart. Very compassionate and helpful. I understand there are free meditation recordings if you search under elana Rosenbaum. Good luck and enjoy the blessings of this book.

Inspiration and a roadmap 27 Oct. 2012
By Lucia Mcbee - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Being Well (Even When You Are Sick) is a book for all of us. No one is untouched by illness, loss and death. Yet most of us do not choose to consciously engage with our mortality. Elana's indomitable spirit is informed by years of mindfulness practice and teaching. Her warmth and humor shine through as she guides us through the path she and many of her clients have travelled, facing disease with compassion and awareness. I highly recommend this book. In it, you will find inspiration and a roadmap for a life fully lived.

An incredibly helpful and unique approach to sickness through mindfulness and experience. 17 Dec. 2013
By Mercedes Guiraldes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This book by Elana Rosembaum is a source of permanent encouragement and help to those of us who, like herself, are cancer survivors. With sincerity, courage and wisdom, bringing her experience as a therapist and as a patient, Rosembaum manages to come as closer to our sensibility and challenges as a book can get. For me, this book is a treasure that I keep always near me and reread constantly.

Being Well 8 Oct. 2012
By Linda Dausel - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book was very helpful to me and I am still working with it. I bought it with a few other books on mindfulness. I am trying mindfulness mediation as a way to become healthier and happier after my cancer diagnosis. She has a friendly way of writing that makes the reading and practicing enjoyable. I would recommend this book and also her other book, "Here for Now."
