Format:Audio CD
I first saw MJ in 1990 when he was on tour supporting Beverley Craven, he was fantastic and I've been hooked ever since! What a stunning voice this Welshman has and he's such a lovely chap (met him recently at a gig!). He writes with passion and that comes across in his live performances.
If you appreciate songs that are heartfelt and don't contain nonsense lyrics - try this album, you won't be disappointed.
'Please Sir' is about the decline of the Welsh coal mining industry. 'Dolphins Make Me Cry' was written after he saw his wife upset at seeing dolphins in captivity. Buy this album for 'Next Time I See see You' alone.

This is 5 stars for Being There and Undrugged, which is a Live Album from 1993.
Other reviewers have extolled the virtues of the former, but it's Undrugged I really prefer.
It follows on from 1989's live album An Aching And A Longing and features top songs Have I Gone Too Far ?, I Will Be Waiting, a show stopping Billy Joel's Piano Man and the moving Swansea.
If you like Being There or any other Martyn Joseph recording, get Undrugged.

This is a brilliant album. From the brillliant 'Working Mother', a superb song about a mother working as a prostitute to support her two young children to the amazing 'Dolphins make me Cry'. This album contains brilliant lyrics and music from a very talented English man. Every song on this album is top qaulity. Martyn Joseph has a great voice and writes about subjects that not many think about, but writes in such a way that really makes you think. Who would think to write about a prostitute??? And it is done in a tasteful way that makes you think of the views of the mother.
