Product Description

A New Adult / Coming of Age Romance by
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Arabella Quinn

Being Jane wasn't easy.

No one ever noticed me. I was invisible. My life was utterly boring. Not the spoiled-brat kind of boring, but the bone weary kind of boring.

Then, out of the blue, one little phone call changed my life. Things started happening. Life got real complicated ... real fast.

You've heard of love triangles, right? Well, there was some kind of geometry going on in my love life, but it wasn't as simple as a triangle. More like an incongruous polygon...

Being Jane Brown was hard.

I had to tiptoe around my fragile mother. I made terrible mistakes that led to heartache and misery. But, I finally felt alive.

An epic love was mine to experience - if only I had the courage to lay my heart bare.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another author for my TBR list 20 April 2014

Arabella Quinn writes a good story. There were a few spots where my attention wandered but I love Jane. It is heartwarming how Jane's attitude towards her mom softens when she discovers why her mom is the way she is. And I love the HEA.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing and Sweet 16 April 2014

Ever since I heard of all of the Fountain of Love stories, I was really excited to read them. I think the idea of the whole sort of standalone series thing is so interesting and neat. There's a few of the same going around lately, and they're all interesting, but I'm liking Fountain of Love the most so far.

Being Jane is definitely one of my favorites, too. It's kind of a simple story to start, with Jane being a kind of everyday sweet girl who's been trapped most of her life by overbearing parents. One day, in comes one of the most popular boys at school, Dusty, and during a party they kiss.

Everything goes from there. I liked the fact that it sort of stops after that. Dusty has a girlfriend, and this is 4 years earlier in the story. Jane can't date because her parents won't let her. When Dusty goes to college, he thinks that's it. Jane's kind of trapped still, and she thinks that's it, too...

And then a whole bunch of things happen. I don't really know how to explain it besides that. The story starts off interesting, but more level-paced, and it escalates from there. I liked that part of it, where it's kind of the calm before the storm? You can see there's some things that are going to happen from a distance, but you don't expect them to happen so swiftly. It's an emotional rush, and one I really enjoyed.

Being Jane is one of the most interesting new adult romances that I've read in a long time, though. I've read some other Arabella Quinn stories, and all of them are wonderful, but I really really enjoyed this one. I'd highly recommend it. It's a great story to start out with, and I'm pretty sure after you've read it you'll be hooked on her writing and continue with more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Being Jane! 15 April 2014
By Patti - Published on Amazon.com

I love stories where you connect with the heroine instantly. As somewhat of a loner in hs, I totally related to Jane. When two old flames come back into her life, it was hard for me to pick a team (actually that's a lie...I'm so Team Johnnie!). This new adult romance had me flipping pages and living vicariously through Jane, fingers crossed for her happily ever after. I wasn't disappointed...Being Jane is a must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Piquant and whimsical! 14 April 2014

I truly enjoyed this book about Jane, a lonely girl with a humdrum life. Then things start to happen for Jane after she meets two old boyfriends. I can truly identify with her as she goes through her emotions involving both hunky boys, and I was very satisfied with the ending. I would like to read more of Arabella Quinn after this.
