I've been after a decent noise suppressor for a while, the setup on my pedalboard has been making a really bad hiss sound so I needed to get something sorted out quickly.
I've been eyeing up options by Boss and MXR and then I came across this, I thought at that budget price I could give it a go and I'm glad I did. My sound is hiss free and I've not suffered any kind of lack in output or tone either. My only slight (and it is very slight) criticism is the build quality, it's quite light but fortunately I just leave it on all the time.

Save yourself some time, unwanted noise and money and get this pedal.

The Behringer NR300 Noise Reducer Effects Pedal is one of those pedals that people like myself who buy too many effects pedals for their guitars end up buying. If you put your really high quality effects pedals together in the most correct order possibleand use only top quality connectors, you will possibly not need one of these. However, old stomp boxes that we get attached to and dodgy leads can make one of these an almost compulsory purchase. Put it in your effects chain before your delay or reverb pedals and after all the distortion and fuzz boxes and it will be at its best for you.

It is NOT a sexy pedal in that it doesn't do superb audible things that the audience will pick up on, like a good wah pedal will. It IS however, the best way I know to stop everyone out front from giving you funny looks because all your pedals are noisy and hissy and sound horrible and amateurish.

Make sure you use the correct output from this pedal and all will be well. I consider it a little money very wisely spent and it has averted many problems for me.

the pedal works great using my non gigging amp which is a line 6 spider 3, but on the bigger amps i tends to leave behind more noise than i would like, but still pretty good.

This does the job and works nicely to shut off unwanted noise/hum during instrument silence. The only thing wrong is there is no advice in the manual about how to patch up across effects pedals that need the clean up. I had to go the Boss NS-10 manual for that! Which it is a blatant copy of. My advice is to put the send/return across the pedals you want to clean up and with the instrument going in to the IN and the OUT going on to your amp/mixer/pc/other effects. Dont put a delay pedal in the cleaned loop. The tail of the delay will cause the noise unit to chop the tail off!

Also it would have been nicer if it worked on stereo signals too.

The indicator showing when reduction is on is nice.

I've not tried it at a gig or rehearsal yet but it works fine, It does as it says on the box. I do think these Behringer pedals are extremely good for the money and I have no regrets in buying it. It may be plastic but it's very well built and to break one you'd need to be exceptionally heavy footed and clumsy, it's got the added feature that you can use it as a noise reducer or a mute switch and at £17.00 you're not going to better it at that price.

Does exactly as I expected and wanted it to do. Saved me trying to mess around with extra earthing or embedding my guitar parts in a Faraday cage. This pedal is sturdy, very quick to react and adjustable to different situations. Very pleased and great value for money. No idea how to install a battery though.

Added to my pedal board hesitantly due to the low price but hoping that the reviews on here were true. The reviews were true, excellent noise reduction, no power loss, not quite the same quality as some pedals but I treat my gear with care so it should last long enough, well worth the money.

Extremely cheap noise reducer but has worked wonders on my Telecaster, fitted with Seymour Duncan Quarter-pounder bridge pick-up, eliminating virtually all hum and allowing the bridge pick-up to be as quiet as the neck "Rails" humbucker. Superb, especially for the price.
