I am really glad with the purchase of these headphones. Basically, I bought them, because they were cheap, they were by Behringer and that they had turning heads - just perfect for monitoring and even listening to music!

Overall, they are worth the £20. Great sound - proper deep bass, nice mids and highs. I am really satisfied!

As an unpaid professional presenter (as our head of programming likes to call us) for a local hospital radio I have to say I was very impressed by the Behringer Hpx2000 headphones.

The day I ordered the Behringer I had just dropped and broken my previous headphones (HP1500 Pro from JBSYSTEMS) whilst broadcasting, having put them to one side on the desk they fell off and after almost 3 years one of the headphones started flopping about as the thin bit of plastic holding them in place had finally broken.

Disappointed I started searching for a new set and stumbled accross the Behringer Hpx2000.

As a volunteer for the hospital radio, a full time dad and a part time employee I was looking for a set of budget headphones that felt comfortable, sounded good and weren`t too flimsy.
With the Behringer Hpx2000 I found all three requirements - after much adjustment I found a perfect position for the headphones at which point their comfort was apparent (before that I was thinking I wouldn`t want to wear them for long periods of time), the sound from the start was very good but took some adjustment on my home stereo to balance (which gave me pause) although when plugged into the desk at the studio the sound was great straight of the bat, and the build quality seems to be really good - they are very chunky and plastic but where the headphones join to the headband is very solid indeed, leading me to believe they are solid and won`t break easily.

Basically, my original intention for buying this product was because I read that they are slightly safer for hearing than the standard cheap headphones, and in my case, it has definitively proved to be, as I no longer get any kind of temporary deafness or ringing after listening to my music now. I feel much safer using these.

So onto the headphones themselves, great quality and can go straight into your computer, laptop, mp3 player etc. Adjustable fit for your head works well, and in general it is very comfortable.

Really recommend this for those who regularly listen to music with headphones.

5/5.

I wanted these for my home studio and I have to say that for the money the sound is great. They also look great and do not feel cheap and nasty like so many other headphones in this price range. They are in fact very robust but hear comes the big problem. They are incredibly uncomfortable and I can only use them for ten minuets or so before my ears start hurting. I am not sure what the problem is, I have tried to loosen the tension but it makes little difference. If like me you are serious about music take my advice and spend a bit more and get something else cause the old saying is really true, "Buy cheap, buy twice". With a 404 5 star rating I now intend to try the Sony MDR-V55 DJ Stereo Headphones at around £35 hear at Amazon but be careful other sellesr on this site are selling the same set for £85, follow this link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-MDR-V55-DJ-Stereo-Headphones-Red/dp/B007I1QY5Y/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

Absolutely brilliant product. Mixing tracks through the studio speakers gives a good room sound, but with these on, I feel like I'm IN the mix. It's hard to describe, but the total immersion of the sound is incredible. The low frequency response gives you the bass all the way down in an accurate reproduction, and the 20Khz head means the highs are completely evident.

Another reviewer mentioned that the middle frequencies are missing, but I don't find that; I think that the sound is crisp and accurate. When I mix with these, the result sounds great and balanced on all my other test devices. Several other good points; the cups are reversible, so they roll over or sideways for one-ear cupping. The hinges above the cups mean they fold up very small too. They have a see-through sound, instead of blocking out the rest of the room's sound. Mine came with a 3.5mm jack, and a 6.3mm adapter, both gold-plated connectors.

I have one small gripe; the synthetic covering on the cup padding has started to flake off, but I've had these for 3 years now and they're used almost daily! They have survived tea spills, knocks and falls, hooked-cable pulled-off-the-table, etc. I cannot imagine you could do better for twice the price. I still reach for these before the quadruple-priced Senheisers every time. Highly recommended.
