Depending on what use you are wanting the Behringer FBQ800 for, whether it's to lift or cut frequencies of your Hi-Fi stereo setup or like me to 'Design' a guitar sound then this little unit is for you.
Used as a stereo equaliser it will give you 12db cut or lift on any of it's nine bands it is capable of using.
If you are wanting a 24db cut/lift on a monaural sound (i.e. a guitar) then all you need do is to input your instrument on the left input & using a patch lead from the left output & connect this to the right input & the right output gives you 24db cut/lift to what-ever amplifier it is you are playing through.
This is a cheap & very versatile unit.
Highly recommended.

What can i say, it does the job I bought it for.
I bought it mainly for boosting internet radio sound quality and some not so great recordings played via a squeezebox classic. The scale of which the frequencies can be adjusted is not massive but good enough to make a noticeble difference. The bypass feature is nice to have as the EQ is not always needed. If the facial was black or dark grey to match the casing then it be look alot better. Otherwise, its well worth the money if you want add a little boost to those recordings that are lacking.

I purchased this as we live in a block of flats and like watching movies. The sub on my surround sound was far too loud even on the quietest setting, and this more than solves the problem.

Behringer quality as you would expect, well made and audio quality is excellent. Does the job very well and has some advanced settings for further tweaks.

Not sure how much a pro would get out of this, but for taming our sound system it works very well indeed.

I was in the market looking for something to amplify the music from the Galaxy Note 2 (to amplify music streaming from the internet) which was connected to a wave speakers from BOSE.

Thats when I came across this little amplifier, and it improves the music output brilliantly and at the same time gives an option of 9 equalisers and it sits nicely on top of the BOSE speaker system.

Just what I wanted.

My ears have gone a bit dull and I use this to make the tv sound better (to my ears). I also use the compressor form this series to level out the loud adverts

I bought this to place between and Arcam CD player and an Arcam amplifier which has no equaliser controls. For most CDs I am happy with the sound my hifi system produces but with some poorly recorded or very old recordings I prefer to adjust the EQ and the Behringer provides plenty of control without diminishing the quality of the sound. I use it by feeding the second output from the CD player into the Behringer and then feeding the Behringer into the tuner input on the amplifier. That way I can select whether I want direct CD feed or EQ feed on the amplifier. Very happy with it, though I put something in front of it when it is on to hide the flashing lights!

Got my behringer graphic equalizer in less than a day. After connecting this baby up with quality rca: oxygen free screened cable to my 12"Active skytec speaker, It had to be done, The tone controls on the Active unit could not cope so now i can manipulate all the frequencies with the behringer EQ: to get the right sound that i want. this baby is running two 12" subs: 9:tweeters, a 15"woofer & a piezo horn midrange unit just a crazy set up but the sound quality is off the planet real good. its not about how loud you can go in decibels. Its about the quality of the music reproduction emitted from the speakers; its all about the leads that you use as well with the behringer EQ: I ran this baby for 4:HOURS none stop. testing all the buttons none stop, NO PROBLEMS WITH THE EQ: 5:stars easy from me.will be checking out more behringer kit........; *****.

I have a pair of active Tapco S5 speakers connected to my laptop. To eliminate the buzz, I bought (on Amazon, naturally) CleanArt Pro converter - but still needed an equilazer (software thingies being typically too fiddly). I tried a selection of vintage Technics and Sansui components, but all of them re-introduced the buzz.

Not FBQ800, however. It's a cheap & cheerful little unit, and it is very effective in what it does. A headphone output would be a bonus and it's a bit plasticky - but for this money, I am not complaining (much). Might get a separate headphone amp, from the same company. Highly recommended!
