The first one I ordered was so good on our monitors I ordered a second one for our front of house PA :)

Unfortunately the second FBQ100 had poor noise performance.
On closer inspection the manufactures date code was a year older than the first one I purchased :( and it had a mains adaptor which had a model number for the previous version of their product called the DSP110 :( The DSP110 was known for it's poor noise performance....sounds fishy.

I actually really like the first one I purchased and want another one the same as it, with a mains adaptor which has the FBQ100-UK model number like the first one. I have returned the second one and hope someone as Amazon reads this and replaces it with a good one rather than refund me which seemed to be my only option on returning it :(

Watch out for the ones that have a DSP110 mains adaptor.....there are not as good by a big margin.

I play in a 5 piece band that gigs in pubs and clubs. We are a pretty loud band and have to crank up the lead vocalist as much as we can so she can be heard above our racket., and this was giving us feedback problems, particularly at smaller venues, or if she decided to walk about a bit.

The shark seems to have really helped out with this. It's pretty much just plug and play as the feedback destroyer is on by default. We run it just for the lead vocal mic, although it can be used in the monitor loop to affect all the mics. We aren't 100% sure this isn't a 'placebo' affect at the moment, but we haven't had much problems with feedback the last few gigs since we've started using it.

I haven't tried out the other processing features on the box much yet, they are just a "nice to have" for us.

Recommended for bands like us who don't have a sound man or loads of time to fiddle with EQ at gigs.

works well when you finish playing with the settings, it does take time understanding all the limits, make sure you do not press the top end cut as I did then wondered why I was having to use full treb on my amp.runs warm but not a problem.one slight prob is that the mains hook up can pop out and its a little fiddley to slip back into the unit . all in all does the job.
