I've been using the Behringer BCF2000 to mix my midi/audio mixes with Cubase 5. As a piece of hardware it's an eleven out of ten. It works flawlessly with Cubase, integrates well with many VST plugins and is unbelievable value for money. The only thing that lets this down and stops me rating it 5/5 is the documentation included witht the hardware. Having said that, within 30 minutes of unwrapping it and a small amount of Google, I had the kit fully up and running.

I've recently purchased Reason and Reason instantly recognised the BCF2000, programmed it and set it up as the default control surface. No setup was required but it took a small amount of experimentation to discover what all the controls were assigned to.

Latency is absolutely minimal, so when recording track automation the faders and dials respond flawlessly.

For anyone who can't afford the thousands for a professional mixing desk, or for amatuers / semi professionals who don't want to spend thousands, this is a perfect piece of hardware to accompany your DAW.

    Well recommended!

Low costsubstitute for mackie - I use this with ardour 3 in mackie mode and works very well. Be warned that it is noisy. I had to open it up and mod the motor position to reduce the noise levels, it did take a bit of time, but once done works very well.

Worked straight out of the box.
    Lots of handy functions.
You get a lot for your money and there are plenty of handy tutorials on YouTube to help you get started.
For me, it's the motorized faders that make this unit attractive and the fact that you can add on other units to enlargen your arsenal!
And it's very Mac (Lion) friendly.

I used to use another product with a FireWire interface for audio and control (with motorised faders and knobs), but I had problems with later versions of Windows so I bought the BCF2000 and a FCA202 F-Control instead.

    It works for me.

Great little controller for a fraction of the price of a Mackie, plastic and a little noisy but well worth the money saving a lot of mouseing around.
