I have owned this mixer for a number of years now. It is an excellent low cost mixer for amateur or small scale professional use. It has 2 microphone inputs with +48V, 4 1/4 inch stereo inputs and a CD/Tape input which is enough for an audio visual presentation in a small hall for example. My previous mixer was a much more expensive Yamaha which was a dinosaur in comparison, difficult to use and with an interface from the first lunar lander. I have only two incredibly small criticisms of the Xenyx. The first is that surprisingly, the four supporting feet were not perfectly aligned on the base plate - the mixer 'wobbled' on its feet. I should have returned it, but needed it for a presentation the day I received it. In fact I stuck some self-adhesive rubber feet on the bottom of the metal casing and this solved the problem. The second is the brightness of the power-on LED. It is an incredibly intense blue. In a darkened room this can actually be quite a distraction. I have stuck a bicycle tyre valve cover over the LED with blue tack which solves the problem. Nevertheless this is the best mixer I have used and seems to be excellent value for money.

This is a brilliant little mixer, and little is the perfect word as it is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, and is perfect for all your audio needs.
as well as having several super built in effects it has phantom power for powered mic's and loads of other features.
if you buy the UCA202 you can connect to your pc or laptop and control sounds going in or out!! wahooooo!!!!

I'd been looking for a reasonably priced mixer that would be used to provide a decent level of vocal reverb in a karaoke set up.
The other reviews on this page prompted me to give this one a go as I already use Behringer mics.
The unit itself is small and compact sitting easily within the boundaries of an A4 sheet of paper. It feels very solidly built and the rotary controls and main slider all work smoothly.
There were no surprises with the connections as all the sockets use standard easily available leads.
The built in FX unit is brilliant allowing a staggering number of presets to be used to achieve the result you're looking for. After a few minutes of faffing about I chose a preset that gave a wonderful roundness and depth to the vocals.
My only criticism would be the lack of an on/off switch . The unit powers up and switches off directly from the mains. A small detail but not one that puts me off the unit.
All in all I'm very happy with the unit and have no hesitation recommending it.
Just a word of caution tho....if an FX capability is your primary reason for buying the unit make sure you choose the 'FX' version...the standard 1002 unit does not have the built in FX processor.

Cracking piece of kit. Everything that the amateur on a budget could wish for. I ran my own disco on one of these, playing songs from iTunes on a laptop (primitive but functional fading between songs), sang a couple karaoke numbers with the aid of a couple of rented radio mics (and the inbuilt echo of the 1002FX on the voice channel to make it sound good), made some announcements, recorded the karaoke numbers from a second output into the Aux input of a seperate hi-fi, and it worked well and was easy to operate. Great quality. Great price.

Warning: put some tape over the unfeasibly bright blue LED in case you look into it by accident and lose the vision in one eye for the rest of the evening!

Great mixer love the 100 fx, 4 stereo inputs and mono inputs. I also like the fact that is has a fx send for hooking another fx processor and the main mix and controll room outputs. Very easy to use and it sounds great

'Too' many features for the money. Obviously, something must be wrong or less than professional, and in this case the the effects don't sound too 'hot' (e.g. grainy reverbs) but worse, the power supply plug does not fit the unit's socket properly. In short, it can only 'go in' a fraction of what is needed to secure it, especially in a live situation. I attach an elastic band to keep it inserted safely. But hey, for the money I can cope with this! Pity though, five stars beckoned...

Great, bargain 1, also they have addressed the LED problem that seems to get mentioned on most reviews all over the web. The BLUE blinding light is no more !.replaced by a nice normal gold power and effect indicator.

Recently bought a chinese audioromy amp which only has 2 stereo inputs, having sold my sony amp I needed a mixer type desk to provide multiple inputs this small mixer desk is knockout with extremely high specifications - took me time to get my courage up to use it but was astounded by the sound and build of this item - considering its price of £63 odd it is amazing. Please don't be put off by the price this is the equivalent of other more expensive deck at a fraction of the price - get one of these little mixers - highly recommended.
