The author's aim is to help people going through difficult life experiences such as serious accidents and the death of loved ones by sharing intimate details of his own life story.
He takes the reader through detailed recollections of events in his childhood and as an adult up to age thirty nine. He describes many experiences such as being a sensitive overweight child, the death of his father, a serious motor bike accident, a near death experience, new insights and a fundamental change of direction and perspective. He recounts the at times traumatic story of caring for his dying mother and interweaves insights and thoughts on death and life, describing his experiences throughout.
I recommend this book; especially to readers curious about how a 'regular' tough boxing biker has dealt with the toughest and most challenging experiences that humans have to deal with, changing and developing on the way. You can identify with the author and allow him to cast light and helpful perspectives on your own challenging times. It is the helpful healing potential of this book that in my view merits five stars.
