Product Description

Product Description

Behind the Veil seeks to uncover some of the myths, secrets, and misconceptions that are behind our own passing. How emotionally we repress our feelings surrounding the subject of death, and how after a period of time, these feelings are detrimental to our health. A subject that sooner or later touches us all yet is barely mentioned in open discussion. It is a life story of someone who loses a parent at a young age, and how this directly affects him. A teenager struggling to come to terms which such an event, how emotionally this experience affects someone of this tender age, and how the passing directly affects those left behind. Behind the Veil seeks to offer insight on the will power required to overcome a major accident, and the life changing consequences such an event has upon our lives. Ian talks openly about his own Near Death Experience, and the person that emerged from behind the veil after the accident and his spiritual journey since. With spiritual insight, Ian shows how supporting a loved one to pass through the veil enriches our own experience, so we are less frightened when our day finally comes. Written with wit and humour, Behind the Veil is the perfect companion to anyone that has either gone through, or are presently going through, the experience of having had a major accident or has recently lost a loved one.

The author's aim is to help people going through difficult life experiences such as serious accidents and the death of loved ones by sharing intimate details of his own life story.
He takes the reader through detailed recollections of events in his childhood and as an adult up to age thirty nine. He describes many experiences such as being a sensitive overweight child, the death of his father, a serious motor bike accident, a near death experience, new insights and a fundamental change of direction and perspective. He recounts the at times traumatic story of caring for his dying mother and interweaves insights and thoughts on death and life, describing his experiences throughout.
I recommend this book; especially to readers curious about how a 'regular' tough boxing biker has dealt with the toughest and most challenging experiences that humans have to deal with, changing and developing on the way. You can identify with the author and allow him to cast light and helpful perspectives on your own challenging times. It is the helpful healing potential of this book that in my view merits five stars.
