I was really pleased when I received this book. It came well packed and in excellant condition. I read it within 3 days, couldnt put it down.
I goes through Marie Osmond's journey with PPD (postpartum depression). It also goes back to her childhood and through the days of the first Donny and Marie show and how the producers told het that she needed to loose weight because she was going to let all the people down working on the show, so she went through a stage of using laxatives and making her self sick to loose the weight, but she got through that. She also writes about her mariage to Brian and about the children that she has had weather they are biological or adopted. It doesnt matter to her, they are all her children whatever way that came to her.
In all the chapters there is always somthing that will make you laugh or you make you think of how she got through those situations.
After she had her son matthew she knew after a couple of days that she was suffering from something more than the normal baby blues. She writes about how she struggles to do the most simple things. She puts on a 'front' to show everyone that Marie Osmond is fine. Some days she just wants to sleep and not get up. One day she writes a couple of cheques give them to the babysitter and gives her brians number gets in the car and just drives for hours because she cant cope anymore. It's not until brian finds her and then he calls her parents and her mum tells her that she went through the same thing that she realises how people never talk about ppd and how they feel like that its like a bad thing that they suffer from this. She then starts to get help from the doctors and begins to feel better.
I would defenalty recommend that people get this book. Its a fantastic book. Has got some lovely photos in it. Like I said couldnt put it down I lost track of time reading this book.
