The story of one of Cumbria's fiercest battles to survive the foot-and-mouth crisis has been turned into a book.
Book Description
This is the inspirational story of one woman's battle to save her sheep against all the odds, during the foot and mouth epidemic in the UK. Moira had her share of personal tragedy when her oldest son was killed in the Isle of Man TT race. Soon afterwards her rare breed flock of Ryeland sheep were condemned to death by the contiguous cull. Moira was soon christened 'the Rottweiler' for her determined battle against the powers that be to save her sheep.
