Within three pages of this book I thought yes that's me, that's answered my questions, that explains a lot about me and my behaviour, lifestyle and thoughts. I lost a long term relationship due to being abused as a child and not dealing with it, and this book helped me to look forward and realise that I wont let that happen again.

Like their other book, "Courage To Heal", this book is a must read for those in the abused community. It will help you to understand so much of what goes on inside the minds of those that have been abused. A Book that should be read by everyone, abused or not. Prevalant information and help, as well as inspirational.

I am a few months down the line from starting my healing journey. I found this book would havebeen more helpful when I first embarked on looking for help. But having said that it is a good little book. Sympathetically written for survivors who are only just recognising that they need help.

Ideal Bite-sized summary of the longer book with readable type
Courage To Heal by the same authors is excellent aside from one issue - they've imported the American edition and you need a magnifying glass to read its close-set typeface. Read more
