I would recommend this book for beginner candle makers. It has good information, but lacks follow through on some recommendations. For instance:

When giving advice on doing a Flexible mould candle David Constable writes, "They (flexible moulds) require constant attention during the cooling process, as they can distort, but it is worth spending extra time monitoring the process if you want a beautiful professional finish." Mr. Constable does not follow this passage with information about what to monitor for, how it would distort, and what steps can I take to prevent these distortions.

One of the best things about this book is the trouble shooting section in the back.
