This is a very good book. I started to lose interest in learning Dutch when I saw this. It is not complicated and very easy to understand. It was a nice refreshing break from those course books where they teach you a few words, a bit of grammar, a bit of text to read and a few other things. This will teach you all the grammar you will need in order to write, read, speak and listen to Dutch very effectively. And this can be achieved within about a month in my opinion. The only thing you will need is a vacabulary book to go with this. Look at it in a bookshop and then buy it from Amazon where it is a bit cheaper.

A very useful well organised book. A little beyond 'beginners' level, assuming some basic knowledge, but I am finding it very helpful and complementary to classes. In fact my Dutch teacher has bought a copy too. So take a few lessons and then use this to supplement
