I've just finished the book and it's great! - not your general run of the mill 'just big up the band' biography at all. It has interviews with all the band members throughout, and the author is a close friend of the band, so knows his stuff.
It's not all about Pete and his addiction, which many books previously have concentrated on. There's loads in there about all the band members - how they all met, how they joined the band and how their relationships developed. There's even some interviews with ex-Babyshambler Patrick Walden too - some really funny ones! And he talks about why he left the band and there's a bit at the end about what he's up to now which is really interesting.
There's some really funny stories in there, and some touching sad tales to - a real overview of the band. One of my favourite stories is Pete, Adam and Drew sneaking an old scooter through a hotel reception in London, getting it in the lift and then riding it up and down the hotel corridors much to the Manager's horror!
- A definate winner for Babyshambles fans. Highly recommended.
