this book is amazing, it turns talkers into doers, i keep putting off my gap year(i've just finished uni) but after reading this i am well up for going.
i has a great layout with small chapters, i read the whole thing on my way home from uni, which useful hit and tips, you really will get the travel bug if you read it.
Tom is also the author of the virgin travellers guide, if you have to pick between the books pick 'before you go' the content i feel is better and the paper is nicer lol

I cannot express enough how good this book is and how it really benefits young travellers and what to do when you first want to set out!
Its like having that one member of your family who always wants you to do well, spuring you on!!
I loved the witiness of the chapter and he really aims it at the right age range. The book itself really leaves you wanting to go travelling - no wait DESPERATE to go travelling!!
Im glad that all the information that you need is down in the one book, and even covers a section on parents and how to 'keep in touch' which for me was very beneficial as i am useless at keeping in touch so i know now and understand the importance of keeping your parents up to date!!

I would absoulutely reccommend to anyone whos wants/has/is/or even considering travelling as it really is an excellent starter!!!

Thanks Tom!!!

This is a great book - rare in that it's completely honest and full of useful info. And funny too.
