I thoroughly enjoyed the book as it brought back so many happy memories of the time I, too, flew with Angela. Those were the days of flying before the airports became a nightmare of security. We saw so much of the world in a different era when the countries themselves still had their national characteristics. It was all such fun, and we made wonderful friendships with the other girls , many of which are still strong to this day. Thank you Angela .

I bought the book for my wife, who thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I've read it too, and it gives a good insight into the world of civil aviation before the mass tourism we have today, with 300+ per flight. A very entertaining and informative book.

"Before there were Trolley Dollies" by Angela Waller was a delight to read. This personal and warm-hearted autobiography tells of the author's own experiences between 1957 and 1962. She gives a good description of the era when cabin crew put the comfort of the passengers before their own and flying was a pleasure for all. Stewardesses were allowed to use their initiative, indeed encouraged to do so, without interference and hassle from jobsworth folk, in the happier and safer days before terrorism and hijacks. A pleasure to read such a well proof-read book. Martin Cox

This is another, stewardeass book. Sometimes this type of book was written by tewardesses, bordering on a fifth form school essay; never acknowledging the existence of stewards. this was a small outfit with a small cabin crew. I flew for 27 years on "minis" , as we called VC10s & 707s. Three stewards & three stewardesses, for B.A. Stewards have some tales to tell!
