Max Ritter is a werewolf during the change he gets knocked unconscious. Naked he's brought into the emergency room where Janet O'Brien a nurse is going to care for him. While she is about to insert a catheter he wakes. Embarrassed at being caught with his private bits in her hand. She backs off. Max is attracted to this human woman and persuades her to go to breakfast with him.

Then another werewolf who means Janet harm trashes her house. Forced to stay with Max, they start to get closer . But Gorman a werewolf from another pack wants Janet for himself. So Max needs to protect her. But Janet has no idea what Max is. How will she react when she discovers the truth.

A really nice short read from this author. I haven't read anything by her before. She's certainly packed in a lot considering this is a novella. With a tall dark and sexy hero, and a feisty heroine who knows her own mind. No simpering virgin here. The love scenes are sensuous, and with interesting side characters. This is a recommended read. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

I was browsing the amazon freebie selection which happens far too often and picked this up on a hunch, months pass and amazon freebies stack up high until I finally decided to tackle at least one of them.

(I should really count through my ebooks and figure out just how many I've gotten this way, its probably an insane proportion of them).

I'm really happy I chose to read this book because I'm always worried the reason behind them being free is because they're terrible, I mean sure some of them probably are but this isn't the case with this one.

At 86 pages this book can easily be read in one sitting, and like all my short story reviews I'll try not to give too much away.

So I am a huge fan of Catherine Bybee, I have just recently got my hands on Seduced By Sunday which by the way is bloody brilliant, now while scanning through my books on my ipad and I came across When The Moon Rises and I was shocked I have a Catherine Bybee book and I hadn't read it immediately, what the hell is wrong with me! Anyway I grabbed some coffee and started on the book, and I then had another coffee and biscuit and then I was finished reading, why because without knowing I had sat on the sofa and read the entire in two hours with occasional disturbance from everyday life commitments like needing the toilet and hearing my four year old screaming "Catch me" from the top of the stairs.

So the book is fantastic, its only 67 pages but its a super fun read, during one killer night shift Janet meets the oh so sexy and dreamy Max Ritter, he was found naked and passed out on the street and with no signs of trauma or drugs she is baffled so just as she is about to insert a catheter obviously Max wakes up and hormones and desire fills the room, all while his member is still on show, intrigued? Yeah I know you are!

Now there is something Janet doesn't know about Max, Max is a werewolf and he is working to stop the werewolves that hunt and terrorise innocent people by turning them without consent. emotions are high, trust is broken but will Janet make it out alive? Will she be able to trust Max again?

A fabulous fun read by one of my favourite authors!

Free down load, I enjoyed this book, and there was potential for a much longer story and plot. That's my only issue it was too short. It's a very quick supernatural love story which was sweet, the main characters are nice and the instant connection is obvious. I would still recommend as a quick read.

I absolutely loved this shorter story from start to finish. It has every element mystery, thriller, paranormal, romance, hot & sexy. It follows the story of Janet who gets pulled into a life of intrigue one full moon night shift in ER, a naked man shows up unconscious & another stranger roughly propositions her. She feels a pull & goes with it. It is so unlikely that a short story can promise & deliver as much as a full length story. Excellent execution, superb characters & sub-characters, strong connections between main love interests & I was super impressed.
