I have recently been studying this piece, having thought I 'knew' it from adolescence.
I heard a relay of a live performance which was really inspiring, with a wonderfully engineered sound- (pity I didn't record it).
If you like a brisk tempo, then head for the first and last movements, with dazzling playing by the Staatskapelle Berlin.
Beautifully played and shaped horn, cello and clarinet playing in the trio section of the Menuetto.
My recollection of the Allegretto was possibly less scherzando, (based on veteran recordings). I note Barenboim has adhered to the metronome markings: never too late to learn I suppose.
