A real treat 9 Nov. 2010

Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
I heard portions of this CD on a local classical radio station and bought based on that. I was not disappointed. The musical understanding between Lesser and Paik is exceptional, and the sound clarity is amazing. To my ear, their playing has almost a crystaline quality that is very appealing. I don't have other recordings of this music to compare performances, so perhaps there are other interpretations that would work for other listeners. I am a fan of the big, expressive sound of Jacqueline Dupre, but I think that Lesser's performance here is a wonderful balance of warmth and precision.

I haven't viewed the performance CD yet, but look forward to it.
