What other book combines a great story with such a funny rhyming theme. Very well illustrated .Words cannot describe the enjoyment gained by reading this book, only the look on the childrens faces can.A must for all young children

I have not bought this from Amazon, it was bought for me as a child and I loved it! I still do!

I used to know the rhyming story off by heart when I was little and loved reading it out loud to my Mum. Its an ideal book for all young children - before school age as its easy to read. Though I was taught to read and write from the moment my hand could grip a crayon, so I read it earlier than most children probably would. I'd give it a rough age range of 3 to 7.

I believe its best to capture children's minds whilst they are young and this book does just that. It is fun and playful, yet still delivers that all important moral - if you play tricks on people it can come back to bite you later! Definitely a good thing to teach a child. Perhaps this should be compulsory reading?

I loved reading this with my children as they were growing up and now that they are in their twenties, they still recite certain lines when prompted. It is a delightful book which remains a family favourite and I can't recommend it enthusiastically enough.
