HOOOORAAAAAAHHHHH .. at last the album is here.
ive waited 3 years for the release of this since NVS was released and it has blown me away even more than i ever expected..
the usual thrill of fantastic guitar harmonies and solos throughtout combined with awesome and powerful drumming.
if u like ur metal heavy and true and talented then go for it!
with thought provoking lyrics, Area 54 are the ones for you.
especially for fans of G nR, Maiden , MEgadeth..
then go for it !!!!!!
Area 54 most certainly are the future of heavy metal!
IF u get chance to see them live then do it. 30 gigs and ive never been disapointed.
if u havent already get it!
MG!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome...Worth the wait 11 April 2007
Format:Audio CD
I waited a long long time for this cd,and it was well worth the wait.

This is definately the best of their albums so far,it's a bit more aggressive in places and with songs such as 'In my blood' having a mustainish twinge to the end vocals.

The drumming is much better on this cd and the leadwork is exceptional, there are some truly amazing giatar harmonies on this album and great solo's.

I listened to this album 7times over when i first got it,it blew me away and cor blimey if they aint an British based band!!!

There are some really moving great ballads on this cd,very deep and moving stuff. I,ve had the pleasure of seeing them live and they are really very good, their bassist Laura is in fine form on this cd too with some great bass lines compimenting the great guitar work.

It's a very good production, very clear and everything balanced very well,i know quite a few people who didn't like the first album too much but really loved this one, lets hope it goes somewhere big,if you like Megadeth and Iron Maiden you should definately check this out it's damn good stuff.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Area 54 album. 12 Nov 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The third album from the now defunct band, featuring singer/guitarist Lakis Kyriacou, and probably the best album that they made. Also the last album to feature bassist Laura Salmon. The album is suited to those that like classic metal, with some mellower moments, some heavier moments and some excellent guitar licks. Lakis went on to work with Love And Bullets, sadly no recordings available, and Nemhain who so far have released one album. Recommended for headbangers everywhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars First half great, second half zzzzzzzzz ....... 21 Sep 2011
Format:Audio CD
British melodic metal band Area 54 release their second album.
First four tracks and In My Blood are excellent, with quality guitar work from Lakis, plus, I have to mention superb lightning fast drumming from Rob Hillman.
Opening track "Living A Lie" is a storming song.
However, the second part of the album ruin's it for me, as it fades away dramatically.
There are two mournful ballads, two elongated average efforts and worst of all is "Cancer Of The Mind", where for some reason they bring in At The Gates vocalist Tomas Lindberg, who gives it his trademark Black Metal squawk, which does not fit with the rest of the album.
Three stars may be a little harsh, but I think four stars would be pushing it a little.
