Product Description

Product Description

Children may struggle with the uncertainty and inevitable change that come when a chronic illness affects someone they know. "Because Someone I Love Has Cancer" offers them support, encouragement, and the opportunity for imaginative personal expression. This inspired publication is designed to address the basic goals of therapeutic support for children (ages 6-12) who have a loved one with cancer. Creative activities allow children to work through and express unfamiliar feelings, and learn to recognize and tap into positive movements.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great idea!, 20 Oct 2008
By Marina Roberts (London, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this book for my daughter, who used to be terrified by the thought of cancer in her family and would not even talk to anyone about what she was worried about. This book made it less scary for her and now she is able to ask questions and accept the answers even if she didn't like them. I would recommend this book to any child, who has a relative affected by cancer. It helps children cope.
