Studies show that blue and red light at certain wavelengths act together in clearing acne by combining anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory action and that phototherapy with a mixture of blue and red light is an effective treatment for acne vulgaris.

The lamp has six 15 watt fluorescent lamps three blue and three red lamps. BeautySkin is based on the positive effect that light of certain wavelengths has on human skin.

does what it claims to do. It's not a cure but does dramatically reduce the severity. It cannot cope with the entire face at one time so you really need two sessions or two lamps.

Anyone out there suffering from acne knows that what works for Jim might not work for John. I got this for my kid when he was suffering pretty bad facial acne, and he has used it pretty faithfully for about 6 months. It hasn't totally gone away, but has dramatically reduced. Wish I could say conclusively it was down to the lamp, but we just don't know - he changed other things (facial cleaning, diet) around the same time. But it was a few weeks after he started the lamp - just as the manufacturer claimed - that the acne started to receed. If you can afford the steep price, it might be worth a shot. Best of luck.

I was very happy with this product which I bought to replace my existing one which had stopped working after 4yrs. I was very happy with the service from the seller too and would recommend this product and the seller to anyone thinking of buying one.
