I LOVE JUDGE JUDY!!! I watch her show as often as I can and decided to take the time to read her book just to see what she had to say. Without a doubt, it was well worth the effort. Her common sense and no-nonsense approach to womanhood was refreshing and intelligent. I'm still telling friends about my favorite excerpts and can't do so without doubling over in laughter. I only wish that I could handle confrontation with as much finesse as she does. How ingenious! I love the way she is able to let people know they've stepped over the line by her actions and not necessarily her words. I'm certain it has more impact than people think. All in all, I say, you GO, girlfriend! Keep telling people how it is and maybe someday it will sink in.

I am not a regular viewer of Judge Judy's show. When I do watch it, I am drawn to her straightforwardness and common sense.
When I read this book it seemed as if she was speaking straight to my heart. It was like a friendly chat with a someone who has seen it all.
It's obvious that her experiences as a daughter, wife and working mother has informed her life and her work. The main idea of this book in a nutshell is to learn and live life to the best of your ability and enjoy the moment as nothing, good or bad, lasts forever.

Judge Judy has changed my attitude for life! Watching her on TV I realised that I believed every crook on there and yet she saw through them like they were plate glass! To say I began to wise up is an understatement. I was never a good judge of character, but I am now, simply because I listen to my instincts now, where once I hoped to find the good in people.
I have cut the cold callers to a minimum by taking on Judy's attitude on the phone. I have received a full refund from an Insurance company when I had to cancel a car insurance policy, they were going to charge me £47 until I made it clear that I wouldn't tolerate any such thing. I complained about a product that was below standard and received compensation.... before 'wising up' I used to take all these things on the chin.
Judge Judy is brilliant, and this book is worth its weight in Gold.
I wish I'd known all this 34 years ago!

My husband and I enjoy meeting at lunchtime and watching Judge Judy together so we were naturally curious about her book when we saw her on Larry King Live this week. Bought the book and loved it! We've been married 28 years and laughed together over toilet paper and toilet lids! Been there done that! But mostly we talked about how great this book would be for the young single mothers in our family as well as those who are growing in their marriages, child-rearing, and dealing with life in the REAL world. Some illustrations (only one really) was a little graphic, but we love Judge Judy's honesty and tell-it-like-it-really-is style. Thanks for a great read Judy. We'll be sure to pass it on!

Judge Judy says many things that more people (both men and women) should listen to for their own sakes. After a bad break up, this book helped me realize my own potential and gain the strength needed to face the world on my own. She made many valuable statements that have begun to turn my life around. Every woman should read this book. Very fast and fun, too!

Judge Judy tells it like it is. This woman takes no stuff from anyone. Excellent reading. This is a must read for every woman. Every woman can learn something from her book. She is a great role model. She uses her real life experiences to tell how you can learn from your mistakes. It's humorous as well as educational.
