Beautiful Vision is an absolute joy to behold. The whole project just smacks of quality - from the first moment you pick up the book and feel the weight of this hard back edition, to the turning of the first beautifully bound glossy page, you know you are in for a treat. Each of the 37 photographers have something new and different to offer, and it truly is an impressive collection of artists, many being published in this format for the first time. The great mix of artistically posed models and creative lighting balanced with just the right amount of sauciness makes this a coffee table book that's tasteful enough for even my mother to enjoy! What makes it even more interesting are the quotes and stories behind the pictures that always accompany the photos online - snippets of which are also included in the book. I hope 'Beautiful Vision - The Men of BeautifulMag.eu' is as bigger success as it deserves to be, not least because of the great cause the boys at beautifulmag are donating the proceeds to (SIDACTION), but also because I personally can't wait for edition two!

The best anthology ever

BeautifulVision is a true jewel in the area of male photography. What makes this book so special is that is is based on the concept of the popular website www.beautifulmag.eu. The book has nine chapters linked to the word 'beautiful' and each chapter represents photographers and their interpretation of male beauty. Sometimes intimate and emotional, sometimes sensual and erotic. The many entertaining paragraphs and quotes taken from teh website give the book a personal and magazine-like feeling. The best anthology ever.

Rob and Yannick, the young and dynamic Dutch/French who created the website BeautifulMag.eu, one of the more sophisticated and stylish blogs in Europe. From that experience of dealing with perfectly formed models and selecting the cream of the crop top 40 photographers with whom they work they have created BEAUTIFUL VISION, published by Bruno Gmünder Verlag GmbH. And a treasure house of the finest in photography and in models it is! Direct form Paris to the reader comes an ensemble of European eye candy.
Page after well-designed page are men alone and together, in contemplation and in interaction, with and without props of leather, clothing, rags, sports gear - each model represents the proclivities of their respective photographer and their are 37 photographers whose approaches to the male form differ considerably. The poses, the use of light and shadow and the color reproduction are as fine as can be found anywhere. Rob and Yannick have curated this book well, making very different than single photographer monographs. It is an exciting idea and a very successful collaboration. Grady Harp, June 11

excellent collection

The book contains a very varied selection of photographers - something for everybody - and so there will be some that somebody doesn't like.I like very much Jeff Brewster,Mark henderson,and Sandro Boss of the more mainstream offerings. Justin Monroe is an incredibly guilty pleasure, outrageously erotic and exotic. The reason for the review is to draw to peoples' attention the wonderful photography of Kevin Slack. His models are all delicious young men in Cuba who have a very unspoilt look about them. Go to his web site (snappedshots.com)and see the most beautiful gay photographs I know. the book is an excellent introduction to many very talented photographers and their web site addresses are usefully at the back
