I had never heard of Shonagh Daly before today but what a talent!!! I simply bought the album because I liked the look of the CD sleeve, even though I have been tripped up before by this method, this was certainly not one of those occassions. This Irish songbird has one of the most amazing and beautiful voices I have ever heard. The songs on the album range from the upbeat "All I Want" to the stunning ballads of "When the Cedars Fall" and "Forget Me Not". There is also a great cover of "Fever" in there. I simply can't stop listening to this CD, it's one of those albums that brings a smile to your face and in my opinion, that certainly gets Shonagh five stars from me!!!

I bought this because I took a liking to the cover at first, but the songs are increadibly strong with beautiful, original lyrics to her self penned efforts and new versions of some classics as well, which really suit her style - which is a Dianna Krall meets Shania Twain thing if that sounds appealing! Having said that, she has a much stronger voice than either and the songs on the album seem ideally chosen and written for her.

Everything about this album rocks. Shonagh sounds great on the album but she was even more awesome when i saw her live supporting donny osmond! i think "the last moment in time" is my favorite track but there are so many great tracks on there and they're all so wide-ranging. "the man that got away" is another highlight and "when the cedars fell" displays a streisand-esque flavour which is very strong.
altogether a cracking album!!!!

This is a mixed bag of songs offering a nice variety and all the songs are "nailed" by Shonagh.

It is a great shame there have been no follow ups, as the woman is very talented and I've seen her in the west end, where her acting is also very good, but her voice is her greatest asset and very unusually she is gifted with being able to act within her voice which is a very rare talent.

It baffles me how such a good voice is not being heard by the masses when there is so much rubbish being recorded.

Well what can i say? There are some beautiful songs here with a voice that sends a chill throughout the body. From the opening line 'what a beautiful view you are, eyes deep ocean green' to 'when the cedars fall' this is surely one of the loveliest love song albums i have ever heard. So home come we have never had a follow up. Andrew Lyloyd Weber says she is the finest voice he has ever worked with....praise indeed. More please
