I read this book because I was at a loss for why my skin had taken a turn for the worse. I had always had healthy, radiant skin and all of the sudden I was getting breakouts, dry patches, oily patches, and noticeable sun damage despite my use of SPF 30 each day before putting on my makeup. I am only 28-year-old and want my face to continue to look young and radiant instead of going downhill, so I read the advice in this book and although most of it is common knowledge, it reminded me of some things that I had forgotten. The simple CEAMP system reminds me daily how to properly care for my skin without cutting any corners, and I have noticed a HUGE difference in the past month of following the advice outlined. My wrinkles and pores are minimized, my dry patches are gone, my oily patches are gone, my two age spots are less noticeable, and my skin looks and feels clear, healthy, radiant, and soft. I even cut down on the products I was using on my skin, which is saving me money! I now cleanse with Cetaphil face cleanser each morning and night, use an alpha hydroxy toner, and then moisturize with a Vit A/Retinol lotion at night and with an SPF lotion during the day. The book also recommends using vitamin lotions (Vit C and E), but I get enough of this in my diet that I don't need to apply it topically. Also, the book recommends both moisturizing and protecting with SPF, but I just do this in one step to save time since I'm a busy mom and student. Great book! If I had more money, I would be tempted to try her product line, too :)
