More About the Author

A dreamer at heart, Michele Barrow-Belisle has always lived with one foot in this reality and one foot in another, one of her own imagining. So it follows that she would grow up to write about and sculpt the characters from those enchanting worlds she knows and loves so well. As a fan of everything romantic, her young adult novels are populated with witches and vampires and faeries. Michele resides in southern Canada with her hubby and son who indulge her passions for writing, reading, lattes, and most of all chocolate.

She also loves shoes.

I think this book is great for anyone wishing to know how to make a life-like reborn baby. It takes you through exactly what equipment you need and the step by step instructions are useful, clear and well illustrated. There are a couple of spelling mistakes which makes it look unprofessional but the pictures are glossy and in colour, they don't look photocopied at all.

This looks like an amateur job! The 'book' is not good quality, the pictures are not detailed. Everything looks photocopied or put together on a computer. Totally unprofessional. I cannot recommend this book.

When I received this book I was rather disappointed. It has been produced in very poor quality with poor quality photos and no clear instruction for newcomers to the art of reborning dolls like I am. A very expensive book; especially for what you get. I have watched a dvd on reborning which was much better than the book and I thought the book would give me more basic facts which it didn't.
Also, one of the pages has been repeated within the book but then the book is very amateur in the way it has been put together and then printed. Don't waste your money.

Reborning Overview 23 April 2006
By Kelly L. Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a beautifully photographed book which addresses many aspects of reborning, including assembly, painting, rooting and detailing. I was also very impressed to find a section with instructions on how to open eyes in vinyl and three pages regarding ethnic babies. Additionally, there is an extensive list of suppliers with detailed photos of the various products.

This is a beautiful reference, and would also make a lovely gift or coffee table book.

This book is okay...but not great 27 Feb 2009
By Ollie Haney - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book is also over priced. If you are looking for information on how to do ethnic skintones without using RIT dye, this is not the book. Some of the information is okay, but really, you can get the info in this book online for free.

Great pictures, text not bad either but the typos?? Ugh. 8 Mar 2009
By J. Passe - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book left me with mixed feelings. It has great pictures and amazing help with color. The pictures speak thousand words. This book helps by just using the pictures as a reference when you are doing your painting. The text is ok, to my opinion hard to follow directions. I like step by step, this is not it. And one annoying thing in this book... the number of typos. Michelle, you have a talent, but PLEASE have somebody proofread your work next time before you publish. It looks very unprofessional and for the cost of this book, these types of typos are unacceptable to me. Hence the four stars, although my tru rating should be 3.5. It's better than 3 but not quite 4 stars.

I was disappointed as the techniques in this book were outdated 30 July 2014

I was disappointed as the techniques in this book were outdated. It was also pricey for the size of the book.
