Biography

Beau is a singer-songwriter, specialising in 12-string guitar. He recorded for John Peel's Dandelion label (both as Beau and John Trevor) from 1969 to the label's close in 1972.

All his Dandelion recordings were re-released in 1995/96 on See For Miles Records in the UK. They're now available again - this time with many bonus tracks - through Cherry Red in Europe and Air Mail Recordings in Japan.

2011 saw "The Way It Was" (Cherry Red BEAU2011), a download only album of fifteen brand new recordings; "Creation Recreated" (Cherry Red BEAUCR1), a much expanded and partially-remixed version of the 1971 original; and "In The Court Of Conscience", a previously unreleased 1979 track included on Fruits de Mer Records' 2012 Annual.

In 2012, Ritual Echo Records put out a 180gram vinyl version of "The Way It Was", and in the same year a further download album – "Fables & Façades" – was also released by Cherry Red. In an unusual departure, "Fables & Façades" was made up of eighteen mostly full-band arrangements recorded between 1978 and 2000.

2013 began with the first of Beau's radio shows for SNYA Radio and continued with appearances on several compilations, including the "Love, Poetry And Revolution" box set from Grapefruit Records. A highlight of the year was the critically-praised vinyl release on The Sound Of Salvation of the long-lost 1975 album, "Twelve Strings to the Beau".
