Book Description

27 Jan 2011 0199238529 978-0199238521 4
Beatson, Matthews and Elliott's Administrative Law Text & Materials combines carefully selected extracts from key cases, articles, and other sources with detailed commentary. Aimed at undergraduates studying administrative law, it provides comprehensive coverage of the subject and brings together in one volume the best features of a textbook and a casebook.

Administrative law is presented in this book as the expression of a set of deeper constitutional and other policy concerns which fundamentally shape the relationship between the individual and the state, rather than simply as a body of legal rules which regulates that relationship.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible and difficult to read 7 Jan 2014
By SM
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is book is shockingly difficult to read. It does not provide a basic foundation of the main concepts and throws you straight into the deep end! Furthermore the language used doesn't help with the basic understanding either. I recommend using a more brief introductory text book in conjunction with either this or another Con + Admin book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book so far 12 April 2011
By Cec
Format:Paperback
I love this book. It has text, cases and articles. After trying numerous administrative law books, this is the first one which manages to combine both practical law and academic commentary. This book has completely saved me in a very difficult Administrative Law course. It has everything one might need, and it presents it in a very structured and understandable way.

I would most definitely recommend this book.

Great. Very precise and delves into the deep end (with examples, cases) whilst also giving a short simple overview of the topic/area.

Format:Paperback
Described it as brand new and it certainly got to me brand new although the back cover had some splodges of dirt.
But it was fine because it is what is inside that mattered.Good buy
