Well.. what can I say..
The day I opened up the box I was amazed at, how small, yet how nice these headphones looked. The elegant matt-white design was superb to look at, and they were also very comfortable to wear.
Next I found it had 2 cables instead of just the one. One with Control-Talk, and the other is just a normal connector wire. I thought this was pretty decent just in case the wires were flimsy and one broke easily whilst travelling with these headphones on. Then there's all the warranty mess in 2 big, long booklets which you just take a glance at then look straight back into putting these bad boys on.
Tell you what, the sound is very impressive. For how small they are (and when I mean small, they are pretty smaller than expected), the bass is superb. The music is very VERY clear for the size of them, and at a reasonable volume, so no note is too painful for the ears to experience. The cushions on the headphones adjust to your head and ears, and are reasonably comfortable. I use mine mainly for being on the go - listening to music - and sometimes for gaming as well. The comfort of the headphones tends to decrease with an increase of time wearing them, however all you have to do is take them off for a few minutes then get back to your listening straight away. Sorted.
People HAVE been saying these solos are very flimsy and snap easily. I haven't had this problem. When you see the other reviews saying how flimsy they are, trust me.. they aren't as delicate as what people make them out to be. The new durable headband allowed it to stretch to a wider length, but I'd be careful with how far you do stretch them, as I don't think anyone's head is around 25cm wide..
They can be the slightest bit flimsy, however. In the first 2 days of having these wonderful things I saw that the adjusting-part, on the left-hand side of the headphone is significantly looser than the right-hand side. When folding these headphones in the tri-fold mechanism, the left side tends to be much looser and delicate than the right. But that's just my headphones, it may differ from product to product.
The headband isn't as bad as I thought. I was led to believe it was a durable mess, and that it would snap in the first few days of having them. However I still do have caution whilst using these, as you never know what might pop up. The rubber-like material on the inside of the headband (which rests on your head with a cushion-like comfort), seems to have came off of the headband a tiny bit.. which has worried me. Because these headphones are expensive for their size, you straight away think to worst-case scenario when something seems to become a tiny bit delicate. I try not to worry though. They work perfectly fine and are very comfortable.
Fakes have also been a case. Only buy off of Amazon if it says "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon..", because Amazon is an official dealer of the product, and if you buy from any other 'Company', you may not get what you expect. Like the deep bass and the wonderfully tuned highs. And, this is the case with most fakes, they may snap within a few days of you purchasing the headphones.. which isn't the best when you've paid a fortune into buying them.
Worth around £140 off of Amazon? I would certainly think so.
